I did not get to your point. The journal says it publishes articles on applied (empirical) micro topics and when I go through the list of forthcoming papers, I see quite some diversity of topics covered. Some health, some labor, some development stuff, education, productivity, some behavioral stuff. What is it that you are missing?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4159906646513306121.post-80700473682528179722011-12-12T05:25:54.154-08:002011-12-12T05:25:54.154-08:00To the last Anonymous: No, I am not against applie...To the last Anonymous: No, I am not against applied economics, in fact I cover quite a bit of it in this blog. But you will not that the coverage by subfield here is very different from AEJ-AE. And that is because AEJ-EA has a very peculiar idea what applied economics is.Economic Logicianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10171296292101248614noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4159906646513306121.post-9119893084200620602011-12-11T14:06:31.987-08:002011-12-11T14:06:31.987-08:00Corruption in journals is widespread. Associations should audit the acceptances of Editors to see if there is any cronyism.Miss Harvardnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4159906646513306121.post-84573795556698022392011-12-11T08:18:47.527-08:002011-12-11T08:18:47.527-08:00I see, so you are against applied stuff... that is...I see, so you are against applied stuff... that is what this is about...

they are covering almost all of economics...

structural labor can go in aej macro btw...

AEJ applied is a big success story...
The profession if going in this direction btw...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4159906646513306121.post-10220406206390746212011-12-11T04:58:23.417-08:002011-12-11T04:58:23.417-08:00mOOm: Exactly. The four AEJ journals are supposed to cover all of Economics, like the AER does. AEJ-AE is certainly not helping in that task.Economic Logicianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10171296292101248614noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4159906646513306121.post-64776188742033281972011-12-11T00:21:18.317-08:002011-12-11T00:21:18.317-08:00I took a look and it certainly seems a very narrow...I took a look and it certainly seems a very narrow definition of "applied economics" whether the papers individually are good or not.mOOmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03440274434662150925noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4159906646513306121.post-57001544547307974802011-12-10T17:57:14.626-08:002011-12-10T17:57:14.626-08:00I think it is your worse post ever...
